A new survey has revealed that more than half of all 12-year-olds in Ireland have their own social networking profile - despite 13 being the minimum age.

A new survey has revealed that more than half of all 12-year-olds in Ireland have their own social networking profile - despite 13 being the minimum age.

The survey - which is being published today to mark Safer Internet Day 2011- also shows that 25% of young people said they had seen a website containing some form of potentially harmful content.
