Man wounded in Offaly shooting incident

A man in his 20s has been injured in a gun attack in Co Offaly.

It happened at Woodrow, Birr, just after midnight.

The victim suffered wounds to the leg and is now in a stable conditon at Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore.

Meanwhile, gardaí in Dublin are investigating after six shots were fired through the window of a house in Tallaght this morning.

It happened at Kilclare Gardens at around 3.30am but nobody was injured.
