More high winds expected
Motorists are being advised to drive with extra care this morning following stormy conditions in many areas overnight.
Gale force winds have resulted in fallen debris in most places while Met Éireann is forecasting gusts of up to 110kms an hour in some places today.
AA Roadwatch said high-sided vehicles, motorbikes and cyclists should take extra care.
Pedestrians are also being advised to take care.
It follows the death of a woman in Dublin last night after she was hit by a tree blown over by high winds.
The 45-year-old was pronounced dead in hospital a short time after the accident on Waterloo Road in Dublin 4.
