Man remanded in connection with €810k drugs haul

A man has been remanded in custody in connection with an €810,000 drug seizure yesterday on the M1 motorway.

The 39-year-old was arrested after his car was stopped by gardaí near the Drogheda toll plaza on Friday morning.

Officers searched the vehicle - which had a Northern registration number - and uncovered approximately 30 kilos of cannabis herb and 75 kilos of cannabis resin.

The man appeared before Dublin District Court this afternoon where no application for bail was made.

He is due before Cloverhill District court on Wednesday
