Seanad to debate Finance Bill

The Seanad will begin debating the Finance Bill today, after it passed all stages in the Dáil yesterday.

The Upper House will also sit tomorrow to allow Senators consider the measures.

The passage of the controversial Bill was fast tracked in the wake of the Green Party's decision to pull out of the coalition Government last Sunday.

Its passing will allow for the dissolution of the 30th Dáil and the calling of the General Election.
