A Dublin woman has been charged with stealing an ambulance during an emergency call-out in Dublin earlier this month.

A Dublin woman has been charged with stealing an ambulance during an emergency call-out in Dublin earlier this month.

Paramedics had left the ambulance in Hardwicke Street in the north inner city to attend to an elderly patient at around 3am on January 8 last when it was stolen.

It was recovered a short time later and gardaí made two arrests.

Jessica Kavanagh (aged 27) of Hill Street, in Dublin was charged with unlawfully taking the vehicle, at Rory O'Connor House, on January 8.

She was remanded on bail to appear again on March 24.
