Three men killed in Tipperary crash between car and lorry

Three men have been killed in a road collision in Co Tipperary.

Three men have been killed in a road collision in Co Tipperary.

The crash occured outside Cashel shortly before 11pm last night.

The collision involving a lorry and a car occurred on the main N8 from Cashel to Dublin, northbound.

All three men in the car - the driver , a front and a rear seat passenger - were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the lorry was taken to South Tipperary General Hospital for minor injuries.

Gardaí have been trying to establish the identify of the victims and what exactly happened. The road is closed and will remain so until a forensic examination is complete. Diversions are in place.
