Gormley: FF speculation 'a distraction'

The Environment Minister John Gormley has said the Fianna Fáil leadership challenge is distracting from the work of the Government.

Mr Gormley said he hopes the matter reaches a definitive conclusion soon so the Government can get back to running the country.

He said he wants to see an end to all the speculation surrounding Fianna Fáil leader Brian Cowen's position.
