IMPACT: 12 Aer Lingus crew members taken off rosters
Trade Union IMPACT has said 12 cabin crew members at Aer Lingus have been taken off their duties as the row over the introduction of new rosters escalates.
The workers - eight based in Dublin and four in Cork - now face investigation by the airline. It is possible that they will be removed from the payroll.
Workers have been engaging in a work to rule over the introduction of the new rosters, which are being brought in to bring down costs at the airline.
IMPACT has described the company's actions as "despicable".
Spokesperson Niall Shanahan said: "It's likely (these workers) will be told they will be taken off the payroll."
