Calleary admits to govt divisions over Climate Change Bill

Labour Affairs Minister Dara Calleary has admitted there are serious concerns about the Climate Change Bill within Fianna Fáil.

It is understood the bill has already created divisions within Cabinet with Ministers John Gormley and Eamon Ryan having strongly diverging views to a number of Fianna Fáil Ministers.

A number of Fianna Fáil backbenchers are determined to vote against the bill, which seeks to impose strict limits on carbon emissions from the agricultural sector, a priority of the Green Party's.

Labour Affairs Minister Dara Calleary said the bill needed to be looked at very carefully.
