Wexford town house sells for less than €1,000

House prices may have fallen through the roof, but just over €900 for a house in Co Wexford is still a bargain.

Mark Fitzpatrick from Rosslare Strand has picked up the three bedroom house in Wexford town for €983.79.

The father of five made the bid on the house in a fundraising drive by the Rosslare Community Development Association.

Entrants could make bids between 1c and €999. The winner of the house was the person with the highest unique bid.
