Woman charged over theft of ambulance

A woman has been charged in relation to the alleged theft of an ambulance during an emergency callout in Dublin yesterday morning.

Paramedics had left the vehicle in Hardwicke Street in the north inner city to attend to an elderly patient at around 3am when it was stolen.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested and later released without charge.

Gardaí said a 27-year-old woman has been charged in relation to the incident and released on bail to appear in court on January 27.
