A family of two adults and four children escaped uninjured on Sunday night after four shots were fired at a house on the An Fearann housing estate.

A man in his 50s was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the incident.

The TD said he has received a number of serious complaints about how the Gardaí handled the situation.

Deputy Ferris has told Radio Kerry that he has written to the Garda Commissioner, the Minister for Justice and Garda Superintendent for the Tralee district, Jim O'Connor, asking them to investigate the matter.
