Cold snap to last the weekend

Arctic conditions are set to make a return over the next few days but Met Eireann says the cold snap won't be as severe or prolonged as it was last month.

Temperatures will drop to minus four in some areas tonight and some snow is forecast for the South and South East.

Meterologist John Eagleton said the cold weather will last for the weekend but milder conditions are expected around the country next week.
