The chief executive of Northern Ireland Water has resigned after thousands of homes were left without water.
Laurence MacKenzie had been under pressure since unprecedented cold temperatures before Christmas produced a massive number of pipes to burst.
Members of the Stormont Executive had also demanded he should go.
The announcement was made last night after a meeting of the company's directors.
