Authorities still battling water crisis
Local authorities around the country are this morning continuing with efforts to restore full water services following the chaos of burst pipes and leaks after the thaw.
There was a slight improvement in water supplies yesterday, as water returned to most homes in counties Laois, Leitrim and Mayo.
However, restrictions remain in place in the worst-affected areas with tankers providing water in areas most in need.
Dublin City Council warns that the capital could face another 10 days of restrictions.
Homeowners who are still experiencing problems are being asked to be patient and to try and conserve as much water as possible.
