Woman connected with serious attack released on bail

A woman being questioned in the North, in connection with a serious attack on another woman, has been released on bail.

A woman in her 50s suffered serious injuries to her face and head during the incident which happened in the early hours of last Wednesday morning in the Ashbury Crescent area of Bangor.

A 40-year-old woman was later arrested in connection with the incident; she has since been released on bail.

The PSNI has appealed to any witnesses to the attack to come forward.
