Grenade found at PSNI officer's home

A suspected grenade has been found outside a policeman's home in County Fermanagh.

The device was discovered in the Drumeer Road area of Maguiresbridge at around 8pm last night.

The suspicious object, which didn't explode, has been taken away for further examination.

The family, who were at home at the time, weren't injured but have been moved from the village.

It comes as it has been revealead a steel fence has been erected at a police station in Derry city to protect it from dissident republican attack.

The barricade at Strand Road follows an increase in security after a bomb exploded outside the building in August.
