Gardaí arrest woman in connection with Dundalk teenager death

Gardaí in Co Louth investigating a fatal assault on a teenager in Dundalk in October have arrested a woman.

18-year-old Niall Dorr died in hospital a day after he was attacked at Castle Road in the town on October 18.

The woman - who is in her thirties - was arrested this morning and is being detained at Dundalk Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

It is the sixth arrest in this investigation.
