Ahern: Ireland's gambling laws 'not fit for purpose'

A report on gambling has said a super casino - like the one backed for Tipperary by Independent TD Michael Lowry - should only be developed with strict regulation.

The Minister for Justice Dermot Ahern must now decide if a new gambling act is needed to replace all previous gaming and lottery laws.
