Dublin water restrictions set to be lifted for Christmas

Restrictions to water supplies in Dublin are expected to be lifted on Thursday, giving people full service over the Christmas period.
Michael Philips from Dublin City Council said that people have adhered to advice not to run their taps during the cold spell.
"Over the weekend people have been absolutely fantastic in that we have saved quite a lot of water," he said.
"We had 10 million litres on Friday night, we had 10 million litres on Saturday night, and we had 19 last night.
"This will contribute towards ensuring that we can have no cut at all from the period of December 23 to December 28."
