A man will appear in court today charged with a dissident republican bomb attack on a police station.

A man will appear in court today charged with a dissident republican bomb attack on a police station.

The 22-year-old, from the Derry area, will appear at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court to face charges including causing an explosion, hijacking and false imprisonment following the incident at Strand Road barracks, Derry, in August.

He is also charged with possessing a firearm with intent and membership of a dissident republican group.
