Govt approves drafting of new white collar crime bill

The Government has approved the drafting of new legislation dealing with white collar crime, it was announced today.

Justice Minister Dermot Ahern said he believed the proposed Bill, although largely procedural in nature, would be of assistance in facilitating the investigation and prosecution of crime, in particular white collar crime.
