Man injured in Clare stabbing

A man was stabbed a number of times in an overnight attack in a house garden in Co Clare.

The assault took place at Waterpark Heights, Ennis, at about 12.30am.

The 24-year-old was taken by ambulance to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick, where his condition is described as stable.

The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination and gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
