Varadkar wants public appointments delayed until after election

There has been a call for a moratorium on public appointments until after the General Election.

Fine Gael front bench TD Leo Varadkar has said if past form is anything to go by, Ministers will use their last few weeks in office to fill State boards and other bodies with political party supporters and "cronies".
