Taoiseach backs claim that bank toxic loan estimates were misleading

Taoiseach Brian Cowen has backed the chairman of Nama in his claim that figures provided by banks to his agency about the value of their toxic property loans were misleading.

"If he’s of the view that they were deliberately misled, I won’t disagree with that," said Cowen.
