A 21-year-old woman has been charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition in suspicious circumstances and with the intent to endanger life by police investigating dissident republicans.

A 21-year-old woman has been charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition in suspicious circumstances and with the intent to endanger life by police investigating dissident republicans.

She was detained during a search of a house in west Belfast last night.

A weapon and ammunition were recovered. She was questioned in Antrim police station.

The suspect will appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
