Weather affects phone and broadband services

Many people in the midlands and east of the country are still without phone services as the wintry weather takes its toll on infrastructure.

Eircom says about 4,200 of its customers have no telephone or broadband services, particularly in Dublin, Wicklow, Wexford and Carlow, as well as parts of Kildare and Meath.
