PAC to examine decentralisation costs
The Dáil Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is to examine the current status and cost of the decentralisation programme at its meeting in Leinster House today.
The committee will also be seeking answers from the Office of Public Works about what will happen to the €44m worth of sites it purchased where decentralisation will not now take place.
The OPW has paid out almost €300m to buy and construct sites and to fit out buildings for the programme.
PAC will also examine the findings of the Comptroller and Auditor General's report into the National Convention Centre.
