Rescue teams bring Wicklow woman to hospital
Mountain rescue teams were called in yesterday to bring an injured woman in Co. Wicklow to hospital.
The alarm was raised at about 2.30pm yesterday after the woman slipped on ice outside her snowed-in home on Trooperstown Mountain.
Rescue teams used a 4x4 vehicle to transfer the woman 15km away to a waiting ambulance in Glenealy.
She was then brought to Saint Vincent's hosptal in Dublin for further treatment.
