Dublin Airport reopens but Dublin Bus to cease services
Dublin Airport has reopened after being forced to close for a second time today, but the wintry conditions have forced Dublin Bus to cease all operations from 8pm tonight.
Flight operations had been suspended until 6.45pm, but have restarted after Dublin Airport Authority crews cleared snow from the main runway.
However, Dublin Bus routes will now stop operating in the capital with many buses forced to pull into the side of the road.
Driving conditions remain extremely dangerous and AA Roadwatch is urging motorists to avoid non-essential journeys.
Irish Rail has said all its services are operating although some routes may be subject to delays.
The vast majority of Bus Eireann services are running, but there is some disruption particularly in the east and Cork.
