Woman dies after being hit by truck

A woman in her 40s has died after being hit by a truck in Dublin just after midday today.

The incident happened on the Crumlin Road, near the Children’s Hospital.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, which remains sealed off this evening.

Traffic is being diverted away from the area and there are long delays on the Long Mile Road as a result.
