Nevin 'to take appeal to Europe'

Catherine Nevin’s solicitor has indicated she will take her murder appeal all the way to Europe.

The woman, known as the 'Black Widow', is serving life for killing her husband Tom Nevin at their pub Jack White’s near Brittas Bay in Co Wicklow in 1996.

Nevin was absent today as she lost her bid to have her conviction overturned by the Court of Criminal Appeal as a miscarriage of justice.
