Residents in East Wall in Dublin are mounting a demonstration later as oral hearings into the DART underground project get underway.

They say the €2.5bn project - construction on which will last for ten years - will be the death knell for the local community.

Spokesperson of the East Wall Residents Association Angela Broderick has said the whole plan is "a waste of money".
