Maire Geoghegan-Quinn has been named Irish Tatler Woman of the Year.

The awards were announced at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin last night.

Miss Geoghegan-Quinn is the European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science.

Imelda May was awarded the Music Award while boxer Katie Taylor took home the Sports Award.
