Victim's stepfather: Childrens' murders 'particularly tragic'

Relatives of murdered Limerick mother of two, Sarah Hines, have said their lives "will never be the same" because of her murder and the murder of her two children.

The 25-year-old, her three-year-old son Reece, and her five-month-old baby daughter Amy, were all found dead in a house at Hazelgrove, Newcastlewest yesterday.

A friend of Ms Hines, 20-year old Alicia Brough, from Rockchapel, Co Cork, was also found dead in the house.

A man being questioned about the killings was transferred to a hospital in Cork for surgery earlier today.

Sarah's stepfather Peter Rolf said her mother and seven younger brothers are all "devastated", and said the loss of the children is "particularly tragic".
