Adams to meet SF colleagues for Budget talks

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams is to meet his party's Dail team at Leinster House today.

It follows Mr Adams' announcement on Sunday that he is to contest the Louth seat in the next General Election.

The party's approach to the Budget and the Government's four-year plan are expected to top the agenda.

Mr Adams will also address the media.

Meanwhile, it emerged last night that Sinn Féein has chosen a former IRA hunger striker to replace Gerry Adams as a Stormont assembly member for West Belfast.

Pat Sheehan spent 55 days on hunger strike in the Maze in 1981.
