The Enterprise Minister Batt O'Keeffe will today move to reassure international investors in Ireland that there will be no change to corporation tax rates here.

There are renewed fears that Ireland will come under pressure to increase business taxes if the country becomes more dependent on EU aid.

But Minister O'Keeffe, who is due to address an IDA dinner in London this evening, will state that Ireland's 12.5% tax rate is sacrosanct .

Almost 8,000 workers are employed by UK firms in Ireland, making it the second largest source of Foreign Direct Investment after the United States.
