Cowen: 'Incoherent' Opposition will not win by-election

The Taoiseach Brian Cowen has said he believes Fianna Fáil can retain its seat in Donegal South West.

Mr Cowen was speaking in Glenties in Co Donegal last night as Senator Brian O'Domhnaill was selected as the party's candidate to contest the by-election.

Speaking to Ocean fm, the Taoiseach said: "The Opposition does not have a coherent policy position on the main issues of the day and Fianna Fail is going out to win the seat."
