The Taoiseach Brian Cowen has said he believes Fianna Fáil can retain its seat in Donegal South West.

Mr Cowen was speaking in Glenties in Co Donegal last night as Senator Brian O'Domhnaill was selected as the party's candidate to contest the by-election.
