Gardaí carry out searches in organised crime crackdown

Up to 300 Gardaí are involved in searches in Dublin's north inner city this morning.

Lead by the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the operation is targeting the activities of those involved in organised crime and drug trafficking.

There is a massive Garda presence in the Sherriff Street area and searches are also underway in Cavan and Wexford.

So far, eight people have been arrested.
