Taoiseach Brian Cowen has said that the threat to Ireland from al Qaida or other international terror groups is considered to be low.

Mr Cowen said Gardai continue to monitor the situation in the wake of the discovery of explosives in printer cartridges in air cargo, which he described as 'worrying developments'.
