Belfast Airport car bomb 'there for a year'

A bomb found in a car at Belfast International Airport had been there for almost a year.

A security alert caused major disruption on Saturday night, when a bomb attached to cans of petrol was discovered in the long-stay car park.

It failed to detonate properly because of an apparent fault with the timing device.

Police in the North are now tracing the car's history and checking whether there were any bomb warnings.
