Gardaí appeal for witnesses in Kildare assault case

Gardaí in Newbridge are investigating a serious assault which took place in the early hours of this morning.

At around 3.20am three men were assaulted on Standhouse Road by a group of up to six men who were part of a larger group consisting of men and women.

One of the victims received serious head injuries as a result of the attack and is in intensive care at Naas General Hospital.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Standhouse Road or Moorfield areas of Newbridge between 3 am and 4 am to come forward.
