Man's body found with gunshot wounds in Louth

A man's body has been discovered in Ardee, Co Louth. The body had gunshot wounds, gardaí have confirmed.

Gardaí in Ardee are investigating a shooting incident at about 11pm yesterday at Sliabh Breagh, Ardee.

A man's body was discovered in an open area at Sliabh Breagh shortly after 4am today. Another person is in hospital after the incident.

The scene has been sealed off and has been preserved pending the arrival of the Garda Technical Bureau.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Sliabh Breagh area from 10pm last night or anyone with information to contact the incident room at Ardee 0416871130, the garda confidential line 1-800-666-111 or any garda station.
