NUI Maynooth to begin €20m library extension

NUI Maynooth will today begin work on a new €20m extension to its library.

The Tánaiste Mary Coughlan will turn the sod at a ceremony this morning.

The new extension will be the size of eight Olympic swimming pools, and 250% bigger than the existing library.

The construction contract which has been awarded to Walls Construction Ltd accounts for €14m while a further €6m is required for furniture, fit out, equipment and enabling works.
