Two die in road accidents
Two people have died in separate road accidents in counties Westmeath and Cork today.
One person was killed in a head-on collision on the N71 between Roscarbery and Skibbereen in West Cork in the past hour.
Three other people were seriously injured in the crash. The road is sealed off and diversions are in place.
Meanwhile a 19-year-old was killed in a crash on the N51 at Crowinstown in Westmeath.
The two-car collision happened this afternoon at 3.20pm.
Two people travelling in the other car are being treated in hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
