Woman killed in Wexford crash named

The 20-year-old woman killed in a hit and run accident in Co Wexford yesterday has been named.

She was Kelly Gregan from Tara Hill in Gorey.

Ms Gregan was one of two pedestrians hit by a car which had driven through a red light on the Main Street in Gorey in the early hours of Sunday morning.

She died later in hospital. Her friend sustained injuries which are not life-threatening.

The car was later found burned out.

Gardaí say they are following a number of lines of inquiry and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

This crash was one of five fatal collisions this bank holiday weekend.
