Two die in overnight crashes

Two people have been killed in overnight crashes in counties Wexford and Dublin, gardaí said today.
One of the fatalities was a woman was killed in a hit-and-run on Main Street, Gorey, Co Wexford shortly after 2.30am, in which a car hit two pedestrians
Both were taken to Wexford General Hospital but a 20-year-old woman later died.
The other pedestrian, also a woman, suffered injuries which were not life-threatening.
Gardaí said the car believed to have been involved in the incident was later found burnt-out in the Kilnahue Lane area of Gorey.
Main Street was closed to allow gardaí carry out a full technical and forensic examination.
Witnesses have been asked to contact officers.
In a separate incident, a man was killed after the car he was driving hit a wall on Ballygall Road East in Ballymun just before 7am.
It is believed he was aged in his 20s.
A 21-year-old male passenger in the car at time was taken to Mater Hospital with serious injuries.
There were no other vehicles involved.
The road has been closed for a technical and forensic examination.
