Gardaí clear multi-vehicle crash on M1

A multi-vehicle crash on the M1 in Dublin has been cleared.

The collision involving four cars and a van had been blocking the right hand lane on the southbound side of the motorway, just after the Lissenhall exit, and causing serious delays.

Traffic is still very heavy from well before that junction as a result, with travel times of 22 minutes to the Port Tunnel.

The AA is advising motorists that they can divert onto the Old Swords Road to avoid delays, however traffic on that route is also very slow.
