O'Keeffe: Govt must work on after talks collapse

The Cabinet is meeting this morning to discuss the billions of euro in cuts that have to made in December's Budget.

The Taoiseach Brian Cowen is briefing Ministers on last night's unsuccessful attempt to reach a consensus with the Opposition.

Back on the agenda will be the massive cuts and savings that are needed across all departments.

Speaking on his way into this morning's meeting, Enterprise Minister Batt O'Keeffe said the Government has to get on with its job now.
